Chanting in the Heart of Sophia

---------

November 10-13, 2016

Hallelujah Farm in Chesterfield, NH

Please join us for a long weekend of chant, teaching, and contemplative practices to nourish the spiritual heart.  We will explore devotion to the Divine Feminine in the Jewish and Christian traditions, particularly under the guises of Sophia, or Wisdom; Mary, the Mother of Jesus; and Mary Magdalene. Particular attention will be given to insights from contemporary mystics Thomas Merton and Teilhard de Chardin.

Our time together will be held within a contemplative rhythm of silence, centering prayer, lectio divina, contemplative movement, and conscious, practical work. The practices will be accessible, essential and nourishing.  We will learn simple Wisdom chants that can be internalized and woven into our personal practice at home.

This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your contemplative life within a community of support. People of all spiritual traditions (or none) are welcome. The only prerequisite is prior experience with or interest in silent prayer or meditation.

Retreat Leaders: The Reverend Matthew Wright with guides Kerstin Lipke and Laura Ruth
